Poached Whitefish

Preparation Time: 15 minutes 
Cooking Time: 12 minutes


  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 3 bulbs fennel, chopped
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 1.5 pounds of whitefish fillets
  • 1 pinch saffron
  • 3 tablespoons of fennel seeds
  • 2 cups of tomatoes, diced
  • 1 cup of water 

  1. Take a cooking pot and heat oil in it  
  2. Then saut é onions in it
  3. Now add fennel bulbs and stir well.
  4. Cook until ingredients are soft
  5. Then add tomatoes and saffron
  6. Pour in the water and let the boil come
  7. Then add fish and fennel seeds
  8. Cover and cook for 12 minutes
  9. Once it is cooked, serve hot.
